June 06, 2026: Shady Dale Rodeo Meetup | Meetup

Register for the Shady Dale Rodeo Meetup on Saturday, June 6th!

This event is open to all! You say you’re not a cowboy or cowgirl. No problem, photographing a rodeo up close will energize you and challenge you. You will be at the edge of the arena for Bull Riding, Bucking Horses, Calf Roping and Barrel Racing. Plan for a couple hours of non stop action. Once you attend you will come back.

• Location & Address: Shady Dale, 22019 Highway 83 North Shady Dale, GA 31085

• Date: Saturday, June 6, 2026

• Time: 7:30 PM to 10:00 PM (Event starts at 8 PM)

• Entrance Fee: $25 (Parking included)

• Meeting Location: We’ll meet at the T-shirt Concession stand at 7:30 pm.

Additional details:

• Lighting is OK but not great. Faster lenses are best. 70-200 is plenty of reach as we will be close to the action along the fence of the arena.

• It will be hot, so have water.

• Food concessions are available.

• Terrain is muddy. Only walk is from the parking area.

• Top of the arena fence is about 5 feet so a short standing stool is a good idea unless you are tall. You can shoot through the fence but it is a bit more challenging.

Shady Dale is located 50 miles southeast of Atlanta about 15 miles south of I-20 at the intersection of Ga Hwy 83 and Ga Hwy 142. Put the center of Shady Dale into your GPS. Then head south on Hwy 83 toward Monticello about 1/4 mile. Rodeo is on the left.
