Submit your photos for the "A Moment in Time" Juried Exhibition by January 2, 2024!
The Peachtree Corners Photography Club is doing its second Juried Exhibition! We’ll have a Call for Entries with the theme “A Moment in Time,” and our outside judge(s) will select up to 100 photos to include. The selected images will be printed and displayed in The Forum in Peachtree Corners.
The Theme is "A Moment in Time". A still photograph captures a moment in time. These are our favorite memories of those moments.
Call for Entries will be open from Saturday, November 11, 2023 to Tuesday, January 2, 2024.
We will have a Juror’s Talk and an Artists’ Talk Open House in March where you can share the background and stories of your photos.
Entry Rules
Who is Eligible?
Participation in the "A Moment in Time" Juried Exhibition of The Peachtree Corners Photography Club (PCPC) is open to all paid members and non-members who live in the state of Georgia.
Membership in PCPC is not required, although it is highly recommended. Join here. The membership fee for the remainder of 2023 is $15.00, and affords a host of benefits outlined here. Dues will renew in January 2024 at $35/year for an individual, and $20 for a second person at the same address.
Fee
The fee per submitted image is $10. For paid members of the Club at the time of submission, the fee is reduced to $8 as a benefit of membership.
Members whose images are selected will receive a special "Member" designation in the Exhibition.
Unless we are able to find a printer to donate the prints at no cost like we did in 2023, there may be a printing fee for the images selected for the physical exhibit at The Forum of approximately $25-35. The artist will be given the print to keep at the end of the exhibit.
Image Requirements
Each person may submit up to five (5) digital images for consideration by the judges.
The image must be a jpg or png and must be at least 2MB to be entered.
Images must be appropriate for all ages, and must be the work of the photographer, including all post-processing. The images may have been taken anywhere at any time. The images may have compositing, but all elements used in the image must be photographically based. Someone else's art may not be the main subject of the photograph.
Must be the work of the submitting photographer.
Can be new or from your archives.
Must fit the "A Moment in Time" theme described above.
The file name must start with the photographer’s name.
All images must be in one of the five approved printing sizes: 16x24, 20x24, 16x20, square, and a 10x30 panorama.
Submission Dates
Call for Entries will be open from Saturday, November 11, 2023 to Tuesday, January 2, 2024.
Judging
The entries will be judged by non-member photographers with accomplished photography backgrounds and expertise in varied genres.
The entries will be anonymous to avoid any judging bias.
The judges will choose the entries to include in the Exhibition based on overall visual impact and fit with the theme.
Photographers whose work is chosen will be notified of their winning entries in mid/late January.
Exhibit
The selected images will be printed and displayed in the Peachtree Corners Forum beginning in February 2024. They will also be displayed in a virtual Gallery on the PCPC website.
We will be having a Juror’s Talk and an Artist’s Talk in March 2023. Both events will be from 10:30 am - 12:00 pm and open to the public. When we have confirmed dates, we will let you know so you can mark these dates on your calendar and invite your friends and family to join us as well.
Disclaimers
The artist retains all copyrights on submitted images and gives permission to PCPC to make prints of the selected images and to use the digital versions in a virtual Gallery on the PCPC website.
The Peachtree Corners Photography Club reserves the right to use accepted images for marketing purposes related to the Exhibition.
The decisions of the judges are final.
