Our September Speaker is Jeff Milsteen and the topic will be “Architectural Photography for the Rest of Us!”

Architectural photography is as old as photography itself and is a great subject for photographers of all levels, including beginners. Most presentations on architectural photography come from a commercial photographer's point of view. But what if you don't have a paying client, fancy equipment, an art director or a lighting specialist, and instead just enjoy taking photographs of buildings and other structures?

This program will present a more practical approach for "the rest of us" who just enjoy photographing interiors and exteriors of some of the amazing (and not so amazing!) structures that we encounter at home or while traveling, using the basic photography equipment that most of us already have in our bags.

Join Jeff for insights on how he approaches architectural photography, from grand structures to humble shacks, and takes images of one of his favorite subjects.

During Jeff’s presentation, you will learn:

  • learn what architectural photography is all about

  • understand the basic gear needed for successful images

  • receive tips on how to compose and photograph architectural subjects and learn some basic tricks for getting all those lines straight and level!

  • get answers to your architecture photography-related questions
