The monthly club meeting is a free event for anyone who shares a passion for photography, from the total beginner with your phone to a professional with multiple gear sets. Please join us in-person or online and invite anyone who may be interested in exploring and learning about photography!

Our November Speaker is Jeff Milsteen and the topic will be "The Photography of Abandoned Spaces"!
Jeff has a special passion for photographing abandoned buildings. In his presentation, Jeff will cover the preparation and planning necessary for a successful shoot, some thoughts on safety and security, as well as some tips on the equipment needed to assure a great outing. He will also cover strategies that will help photographers get the most out of the often limited time available to them in shooting these locations. Finally, Jeff will offer suggestions for photographic techniques, including the use of HDR post-processing that will help overcome the often-difficult lighting conditions found in old and abandoned spaces.
What you will learn:
Come hear and learn techniques of photographing abandoned buildings. He will share what equipment to use along with lighting techniques to get the best photographs in typically low light situations. He will also share tips on post-processing those photos.
About Jeff Milsteen:
Jeff has been an avid photographic enthusiast for over 30 years. His work has been featured in numerous publications and exhibitions, including a solo exhibition at The Callanwolde Fine Arts Center in Atlanta entitled “Shuttered: The Art of Abandoned Places.” He is a past president and five-time Photographer of the Year of the Southeastern Photographic Society, and a frequent speaker and judge for photography clubs in the greater metro Atlanta area.
In addition, Jeff is an instructor on photography-related subjects at the Osher Lifelong Learning
