Join us for the May Technical Webinar: "Capturing Better Images at Balloon Festivals" with Ken Hubbard!
Hot air balloon festivals offer incredible color, light, and scale—but capturing them well requires more than pointing your camera at the sky.
In this technical webinar, professional photographer Ken Hubbard shares practical techniques for photographing balloon festivals from pre-dawn inflation through mass ascension and night glow events. Whether you’re new to event photography or looking to elevate your travel work, this talk will help you create balloon festival images that tell a complete visual story.
You’ll learn how to use composition, timing, and light to create hot air balloon images that show atmosphere, human connection, and a true sense of place. We will have a chance to practice what we learned in our June 4th Meetup at the Helen, GA Hot Air Balloon Race.
