This is a free event sponsored by the Peachtree Corners Photography Club, open to anyone from beginners to pros. Come with your camera and learn to improve your lighting and photography in a hands-on workshop. Registration is required. See the form at the end of the announcement. We hope you will join us!

We will have 2 models, backgrounds, lighting, and triggers for you to use. Making sets, using backgrounds, changing backgrounds with light, harsh light, soft light, light metering, posing and working with models. Bring your DSLR or mirrorless camera. More details about the day and what to bring will be emailed to everyone who registers for the workshop.

Special Bonus
Mr. Berrie Smith, an expert camera technician, will be at the workshop all day and will clean your camera’s sensor(s). The cost is $40 per camera, and he will give $5 of that back to the Club to help cover our expenses.
Food
Coffee and donuts will be available in the morning, and a light lunch of sandwiches, soft drinks, and water will be provided at no charge, but donations are gratefully accepted.
Parking
Please park on the left side of the building and enter through the side door. Parking is free.
About Kevin Ames:
Kevin Ames has made and sold photographs since he was 12 years old. His photography career began in high school as chief photographer and co-editor of the yearbook.
He is in the first generation of electronic news videographers working in television where he became proficient in videography, editing and script writing. He opened his still photography studio in Atlanta in 1982 serving commercial clients from AT&T to Westin Hotels and many others.
Kevin has taught photography, both film and digital since the early 1990s. He has written four books on Adobe Photoshop and photography. He has taught lighting and digital photography across the U.S. and in Europe, Canada, and the Philippines. He wrote The Digital Photographers’ Notebook column for Photoshop User magazine for eleven and a half years.
His skill with lighting has made him a sought after photographer making high-end business headshots, building, product, and fashion images.
