December 14, 2024: “Our World in Focus" Juried Exhibition | Call for Photos

Updated: Sep 25

Call for Photos: Submit photos for the "Our World in Focus" Juried Exhibition by December 14, 2024!

"Our World In Focus" is the theme of the third annual juried photography exhibition by The Peachtree Corners Photography Club. The photographs in the Exhibition capture the vibrance, diversity, and intricate detail of our world. Each photograph invites you to explore the stories and perspectives captured through the camera lens.

We will have a Juror’s Talk and an Artists’ Talk Open House early next year where you can share the background and stories of your photos.

The Theme is "Our World in Focus." The Call for Photos is open from Saturday, September 21, 2024 to Saturday, December 14, 2024.

Entry Rules

Who is Eligible?
  • Participation in the "Our World in Focus" Juried Exhibition of The Peachtree Corners Photography Club (PCPC) is open to all paid members and non-members who live in the state of Georgia.

  • Membership in PCPC is not required, although it is highly recommended. The annual dues are $35 for an individual and $20 for a second person at the same address. Join here. Beginning October 1st, the membership fee for the remainder of 2024 will be $15. The membership fee affords a host of benefits outlined here. Dues will renew in January 2025.

Fee

  • The fee per submitted image is $10. For paid members of the Club at the time of submission, the fee is reduced to $8 as a benefit of membership.

  • There will be a printing fee for the images selected for the physical exhibit at The Forum of approximately $25-35. The fee must be paid before printing. The artist will be given the print to keep at the end of the exhibit.

Image Requirements

  • Each person may submit up to five (5) digital images for consideration by the judges.

  • The image must be a .jpg or .png and must be at least 2MB to be entered.

  • Images must be appropriate for all ages, and must be the work of the photographer, including all post-processing.  The images may have been taken anywhere at any time.  The images may have compositing, but all elements used in the image must be photographically based. Someone else's art (e.g., statuary, glass art, sculptures, etc.) may not be the main subject of the photograph.

  • All of the elements of the photograph must have been taken by the submitting photographer, and not AI-generated. Some small areas of generative fill are allowed where traditionally fill or cloning tools were used to eliminate distracting areas of the photograph or to expand the sky or background slightly to achieve the aspect ratio that we need for our exhibit.  Also, the use of programs such as LightRoom Enhance or Topaz DeNoise are acceptable even though they use AI.  But no figures, buildings, animals, plants, or any other elements may be generated by AI.

  • Can be new or from your archives.

  • Must fit the "Our World In Focus" theme described above.

  • The file name must start with the photographer’s name.

  • All images must be in one of the five approved printing sizes:  16x24, 20x24, 16x20, square, and a 10x30 panorama.
