About David Johnston:
David Johnston started his journey in
photography in 2004 when he took a film
photography course in high school. It was an
amazing experience to shoot with film and then bring those images to life in the darkroom. There is definitely an enormous difference in film and digital photography. Film cameras taught him how to get his light correct in-camera as best as possible.
However, it was in 2010 that he really became obsessed with photography after he got his first DSLR camera. He decided to put all of his energy into photography to make it his life career. He knew he couldn’t quit his full-time job right away, but he could hustle with photography on the side until he could do photography full-time.
In 2020, he founded Landscape Photography University and continue to teach members how to unlock their creativity and take the photos of their dreams. You can see more of David’s work on his website at David Johnston Photography.
