Register for the Spring Nature Photography Boat Tour on Lake Lanier!
Come with us on a guided tour of Lake Lanier during the beautiful greenery of Spring from a fancy fishing boat or two! Our guide will be Captain Mickey Holbrook, a licensed U.S. Coast Guard Captain who grew up on the lake and knows all the best places to take amazing photos of beautiful birds like bald eagles, osprey, and blue herons, gorgeous landscapes with water and Spring color, fish, and relics of the lake from the 1950’s. Captain Mickey runs a fishing boat business on Lake Lanier, and is a photo enthusiast who is a member and sponsor of our Club. He is creating a custom photo tour just for us with a special discount off his normal prices.
We stand a good chance of seeing songbirds and other great targets, such as hawks, eagles, ospreys, and great blue herons. Mammals too, such as black bear, deer, and red fox in the water or along the shoreline.
Here are the details—and note that this trip is limited to 2023 members, those who have paid their 2023 annual dues.

The price will be $75 per person, which is a $25 discount off the normal $100 price as a perk to paid members of PCPC.
Payment will be made directly to Mad Gillz Fishing by credit card, Venmo, or cash on the boat the day of the event.
Each person can bring one bag, preferably a dry bag to keep camera gear safe. Tripods and monopods are not useful, so don’t bother bringing one.
Life preservers, first aid kits, and all the necessary safety equipment is provided.
There is a cooler with ice on board, and it is recommended that you bring water and snacks.
We plan to go to a marina for a lunch break depending on availability. More information on lunch will be provided closer to the event.
Carpooling will be an available option, leaving from The Forum behind Belk at 8:30 AM.
