Join us for the October Technical Webinar "Exhibition Submission: How to Choose Your Best Images"!
The October Technical Webinar speakers will be Brian Walton and David Schilling and the topic will be “Exhibition Submission: How to Choose Your Best Images”. The webinar is scheduled for Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at 6:30 pm.
This month we have a special technical webinar hosted by David Schilling (head of the Peachtree Corners Photography Club Mentor Program) and Brian Walton (the monthly Theme and Critiques Chair) that will focus on helping you select your best images. This event ties into preparation for the large public Exhibition of Photos the club will host this year at the Peachtree Corners Public Library with the theme "Light is Hope." For the webinar, we encourage all members to submit 3 of their own photos for feedback before the deadline of 11:59 pm on Thursday October 20th.
If you have some photos you are thinking of submitting for the "Light Is Hope" exhibition, that would be ideal for the most relevant feedback, but if you're just looking for some general guidelines on how to critique your own photos, you may submit photos that don't necessarily fit the theme. David and Brian will help shine a light on criteria that will help guide your own selection process and provide perspectives on the strengths of images submitted as well as areas that could potentially be improved upon. We hope this event will help us prepare to put our best foot forward for the public display event as well as strengthen the execution of our artistic visions.
Submit your Photos for feedback in our October Technical Webinar as we prepare images for a Photo Exhibition at the Peachtree Corners Library later this year. Our Presenters will use this opportunity to provide feedback on the strong and weak points of each image and aim to provide some guidance on what to look for in an image to determine if it might meet evaluation criteria judges may use to include an image in the exhibition. Instead of providing feedback on generic images, we wanted to provide value directly to our members given this major event for the year with a large public display of our work.
Upload 3 JPG files, up to 4MB each and no less than 2MB per image.
By submitting a photo you grant PCPC the right to use it as part of the Technical Webinar which will be recorded and to use it in club publicity and on the club website. Photos will not be used in any other manner by the club.
It must be in JPG, JPEG or PNG format.
The file size may not exceed 4 MB.
Submission deadline is 11:59 pm on Thursday, October 20th.
The Technical Webinars are hosted monthly by skilled club members as well as guest speakers who are subject-matter experts on the various topics. Our presenters share expertise, tips, and knowledge about various photography and post-production techniques. Our aim is to increase your skill level and confidence with your photography and post-production.
